PML-N and PPP leaders hold first meeting for government formation

A committee comprising leaders of Pakistan Muslim League (N) and Pakistan People's Party held its first meeting Wednesday to discuss the formation of the new government.

The meeting was attended by Senator Ishaq Dar, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Senator Azam Nazir Tarar and Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan from PML-N and Syed Murad Ali Shah, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Saeed Ghani and other leaders from PPP.

The committee deliberated on the names suggested by the party leaders for the cabinet positions and agreed that the process should be expedited.

The committee will present its proposals to the leadership, who will take the final decision in the light of the recommendations.
