PTI-supported newly-elected member of Punjab Assembly Ahmar Rasheed Bhatti was arrested by police from Raiwind on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

SHO Township Irfan Chaddhar led the police team raid on Ahmar Bhatti’s house and took him into custody.

According to police sources, Ahmar Bhatti was involved in attack on Jinnah House after Imran Khan’s arrest last year.

Ahmar Bhatti was elected MPA as an independent candidate from PP-165 Raiwind area. He got 29,390 votes against PML-N candidate Shahzad Nazir who obtained 28,427 votes and remained runner-up in the election.

The victory of Ahmar Rasheed Bhatti was a big upset for PML-N as Jati Umra residence of PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif lies in this constituency.
