Gandapur holds consultative meeting with Ulema to discuss law and order situation in KP

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur held consultative meeting with religious leaders and ulema board to discuss law and order situation in the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

During detailed discussions, it was unanimously agreed that peace in Pakistan is attached with peace in Afghanistan, therefore it was need of the hour that government-level talks with Afghanistan should be started soon to deal with the menace of terrorism. 

It was agreed that political and religious parties will work together to promote communal harmony in the country. Although the problem of district Kurram is regional, it can become a national problem. The participants said the role of the provincial government, especially the Chief Minister, regarding the issue of Karam is commendable. 

The participants demanded that the rule of law and the supremacy of law should be ensured, human rights violations in the country should be addressed. There is a dire need for national reconciliation and political stability for peace, prosperity and economic development in the country. All political parties should be brought together on this agenda. For this purpose, a committee should be formed to establish relations with all political parties.
