Groom’s brother killed in Muridke aerial firing

A man was killed during indiscriminate aerial firing by friends of a groom at a wedding function being celebrated in Muridke, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The ‘mehndi’ was held at Chak No. 33 Muridke. The deceased man, brother of the groom, who was identified as Umair Sarwar, son of Sarwar, aged 35, received bullet injuries on his neck and died on the spot.
Police sources said that Umair Sarwar had come from abroad only to attend the wedding ceremony of his brother.
Police shifted the body of the victim to a mortuary of a local hospital and started legal proceedings.
Further investigation was underway.
