Four killed, two injured in motorcycle-trailer collision near Kot Addu

Four people, including a child, were killed and two girls sustained minor injuries in a collision between a motorcycle and a trailer near Adda 1R Sana Nawan on Sunday, according to Rescue 1122 officials.

Rescue authorities said six people were riding a motorcycle when it collided head-on with a trailer coming from the opposite direction while travelling from Adda 1R towards Sana Nawan.

Two ambulances from the Rescue 1122 station in Sana Nawan reached the scene immediately after receiving information about the accident. Four persons died on the spot, while two girls were provided first aid at the scene.

The deceased were identified as Nasir, 41; Ali Hassan, 7; Riaz Bibi, 50; and Ansha Bibi, 25.

The injured were identified as Samina Bibi, 13, and Aisha, 1.

Rescue teams shifted the bodies to the Rural Health Center Sana Nawan for legal formalities.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed grief over the loss of lives in the incident in Muzaffargarh district and conveyed condolences to the bereaved families.
