Pink Games Mas-Wrestling event concludes

The Mas-Wrestling competition at the Chief Minister Punjab Pink Games concluded with enthusiastic participation from all nine divisions of Punjab, marking a significant step forward in the promotion of traditional sports among women.

Following were the winners: 40 kgs: Zahra Zafar Multan winner, Seerab Fatima Rawalpindi runnerup, 45 kgs: Laraib Kamran Rawalpindi, Raeesa Bibi DG Khan, 50 kgs: Ibtihab Zahra Gujranwala, Umme Aiman Faisalabad, 55 kgs: Fizza Batool Faisalabad, Aleeza Jawad Lahore, 60 kgs: Ayesha Mukhtar Bahawalpur, Rabia Bibi Faisalabad, 65 kgs: Sadaf Habib Multan, Zunaira Rawaq Sargodha, 70 kgs: Adiya Noor Multan, Emeeshal Noor Rawalpindi, 70-plus kgs: Hira Batool Multan, Ainul Haq Faisalabad.

Dr. Suleman Sultan Rana (DIG Establishment-I) attended as Chief Guest, alongside Rana Nadeem Anjum (Director Sports Punjab), Rana Hammad (DO DG Khan), Malik Shahbaz (President Punjab Traditional Sports), and other dignitaries who encouraged the athletes and praised their performances.

On the occasion, Nawab Furqan Khan, President of the Pakistan Mas-Wrestling Federation and Vice President of the Asian Mas-Wrestling Federation, expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, Sports Minister Punjab Faisal Ayub Khokhar, and Director General Sports Punjab Khizer Afzaal for their visionary support in including Mas-Wrestling in the Pink Games.

He described the inclusion as a milestone for the sport’s development in Pakistan, ensuring greater opportunities for women at both national and international levels.

Tournament organizers emphasized that the championship was entirely managed by women, reflecting empowerment and inclusivity. The Pakistan Mas-Wrestling Federation reaffirmed its commitment to promoting traditional sports and providing equal opportunities for athletes across the country.
