Temperatures in country’s plains creep up as cold weather loses its intensity

Temperatures in Lahore and plains of Punjab and Sindh have started to rise gradually, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

The minimum temperature in the Punjab capital on Sunday morning was recorded at 11 degrees Celsius, while it was expected to go up to 27 degrees Celsius on the maximum side.

The Met Office predicted that light breeze would blow in the city of gardens at the speed of just three kilometers per hour, while the level of moisture in the air would be recorded at 70 per cent.

It further said that there were no chances of rain in the city during the next 24 hours.

Weather turns warm in Karachi

Meanwhile, temperatures have started to rise in Karachi as well as the maximum temperature was expected to touch the 31 degrees Celsius mark on Sunday afternoon.

The air quality was not good either as Karachi was ranked 12th most polluted city in the world.

Dry weather predicted for Islamabad

Extreme cold, which had been gripping Islamabad for the last several months, has now started to subside as the minimum temperature in the federal capital was recorded at seven degrees Celsius, while it was expected to reach 23 degrees Celsius later in the day.

The level of moisture in the air was recorded at over 90 per cent.

The weather department forecast that winds would blow in the city at the speed of 12 kilometers per hour.

Dry weather forecast for country

The Met Office said that the weather would remain dry across the country and cold and dry in the mountainous areas during the next 24 hours.

The minimum temperature in Leh was recorded at -8 degrees Celsius, while it was -2 at Astore, Kalam and Gopus.
