45 more patients succumbed to coronavirus in Pakistan

Pakistan reported 2,417 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours (Thursday), the latest data from the National Command and Control (NCOC) shows.

There were 45 more causalities related to the deadly disease as death toll due to coronavirus has reached 10,863 that represents a ratio of 2.1%.

According to the latest figures, 2,417 new coronavirus cases emerged in the last 24 hours after conducting 40,359 tests. It takes the total cases tally to 514,338 that returned positive after conducting 7,243,650 total tests so far.

The number of active cases in the country reached 33,869 with 2,294 patients in critical condition.

There are 55percent patients on ventilators in Bahawalpur, 49% in Multan, 34percent in Lahore and 31percent in Islamabad.

There were 2,072 more recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours as the number of total recovered cases reached 469,306 with a 91.2% recovery rate.

Punjab, the most populous province of the country, has reported 661 new cases in last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 147,953 with 10,814 active cases. The province reported 22 new virus-related death as the death toll reached 4,370. With 944 new recoveries, 132,769 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.

The most affected province Sindh has once again recorded 1,235 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 231,953 with 17,424 active cases. The province reported 11 new deaths as the death toll reached 3,755. With 647 new recoveries, 210,774 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 342 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 62,719 with 3,420 active cases. The province reported 10 new virus-related deaths as the death toll reached 1,762. With 224 new recoveries, 57,537 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Balochistan has recorded another 27 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 18,515 with 305 active cases. The province reported one new virus-related death as the death toll reaches at 189. With 19 new recoveries, 18,021 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Islamabad has recorded 125 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 39,749 with 1,867 active cases. No new deaths was reported in the Federal Capital as the virus death toll remains at 449. With 213 new recoveries, the number of recovered patients is 37,413 in the federal capital so far.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir has recorded 27 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 8,567 with 286 active cases. With one new death reported, the death toll reaches at 237. There were 23 new recoveries in the AJK as 8,044 patients have recovered so far from the virus.

Gilgit-Baltistan recorded no new cases during the last 24 hours, as the tally remains at 4,882 with 33 active cases. With no new death reported in the province, the death toll remains at 101. There were 2 new recoveries as patients recovered from the deadly disease remained at 4,748.
