It is a fact that children don’t always follow in the footsteps of their parents and make a path of their own and achieve their dreams. A doctor’s son will not necessarily be a doctor and a singer’s son will not always be a singer. Similarly, a cricketer’s son will not always be a cricketer.
Veteran former fast bowler Wasim Akram’s son Tahmoor Akram chose to be a sportsman but opted for one of the most extreme sports like Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).
Former Pakistani captain Akram confirmed the news of his son becoming a professional Mixed Martial Artist at an event in Dubai.
In an interview with "Cricket Pakistan," in Dubai, He gave out the details about his elder son Tahmoor and said that he has never pressurized any of his children to follow in his footsteps; they have the freedom to pursue the career they like.
The ‘Sultan of Swing’ said that his son has been living in America to pursue his dream of becoming a professional MMA fighter. He said "My son has been living in America and there is not much cricket there. If he wants to be a fighter, then he must,"
