Export of drugs, medical equipment has surged by 34%, says DRAP

Releasing the results of drug export reforms on Thursday, the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) said that 34 per cent increase had been recorded in the exports of medicines and medical equipment, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a declaration, the DRAP said that billions of rupees were saved courtesy an effective system put in place, and the consumers were directly benefited by reforms.

The Authority further said that 70 per cent regulatory matters had been digitalized, while the target had been set to achieve 100 per cent digitalization by March 2026.

The declaration stated that the duration of medicines export registration had been extended to 10 days, while that of medical devices to 20 days.
