Iran resumes nationwide flights after temporary disruptions

Iran’s Civil Aviation Authority on Thursday announced resumption of flights across the country, restoring both domestic and international air traffic after a short period of disruption.

The development was made public by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran, Mudassar Tipu, who shared the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization’s official position in a post on X. In his message, the ambassador released the full text of the authority’s statement, confirming that flight operations are returning to normal nationwide.

According to the statement, Iranian airspace and airports are once again fully operational, with Iranian Aseman Transit facilitating domestic and international flights. The organization noted that all major airports across Iran are now hosting scheduled services, and necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure safe and efficient operations for passengers.

The Iranian Civil Aviation Organization also emphasized its commitment to passenger services, stating that relevant authorities are actively coordinating to manage flight schedules and airport operations smoothly.

Passengers have been advised to confirm their flight details before travelling to airports. The Civil Aviation Organization urged travellers to call the dedicated hotline, 199, to obtain the latest information regarding their flights.

The announcement brings reassurance to travellers and airlines, signalling a return to normalcy in Iran’s aviation sector following the temporary suspension of services.
