Court dismisses case against elderly man accused of using inappropriate language against Punjab CM

A local court in Model Town Lahore has discharged a case registered against an elderly citizen, Sajid, who was accused of using inappropriate language against Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday.

The Green Town Police had arrested Sajid and brought him before the judicial magistrate at Model Town Court. During the proceedings, the police submitted their request regarding the case, but the court found no grounds to pursue the charges further.

Following the court’s decision, the police removed the handcuffs from the elderly man and released him. The incident had sparked public concern, with many questioning the necessity of registering a case against an aged individual over verbal remarks.
