The National Cybercrime Investigation Agency (NCIA) has summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) social media activist Sanam Javed in connection with alleged propaganda circulated during Operation Banyanun Marsus, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday.
A formal summons notice has been issued to Sanam Javed, directing her to appear before the agency on the 21st of this month.
According to officials, the agency is currently probing 20 social media activists, including Javed, over the dissemination of controversial content related to the military operation.
The investigation aims to identify the origin and intent behind the online campaign, which authorities claim may have attempted to mislead the public and undermine national security efforts. Further action will be determined based on the findings of the inquiry.
