PML-N dissolves overseas youth wings, centralises control under Nawaz Sharif's orders

In a sweeping organisational shake-up, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has announced the immediate dissolution of all independent overseas youth wings, as part of a broader move to centralise party authority abroad.

The decision, taken by PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, revokes all previously issued notifications related to international youth and party wings. According to the official notification, any international appointments or announcements made without formal approval have been declared null and void, with immediate effect.

“All future notifications for international wings, including youth wings, will require the approval of the president of the respective country chapter,” the party stated. The power to appoint officials in overseas chapters will now rest solely with the president of each international wing, under the direct supervision of party leadership.

The directive has been circulated to key figures in the party, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz, and senior leader Ishaq Dar, signalling a complete reset of PML-N’s overseas structure.
