Dubai police foil Dh10m armed robbery in just 10 minutes

Dubai police foiled a movie-style armed robbery at a money exchange in just 10 minutes, arresting two suspects and recovering the entire Dh10 million stolen during the daring heist, 24NewsHD TV reported on Wednesday.

According to Arab media reports, the incident took place at a money exchange in Dubai's Deira district, where two masked armed men stormed the premises, assaulted employees, and tied up the staff before escaping with Dh10 million in cash.

However, one employee managed to secretly alert police using his mobile phone, triggering an immediate emergency response.

Dubai Police swiftly sealed off the Deira area and launched an extensive operation, including aerial surveillance, to track the fleeing suspects.

A police helicopter monitored the robbers' movements while ground units moved in to intercept them.

Within minutes, security forces surrounded and arrested both suspects, successfully recovering the entire stolen amount.

Police said the two arrested men are nationals of an African country.
