Lahore Board raises examination duty remuneration by 50%

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has increased the remuneration of teachers and staff performing examination duties by 50%, benefiting thousands of personnel involved in conducting board examinations.

The revised rates apply to superintendents, deputy superintendents, invigilators, practical examiners, mobile inspectors, distributor inspectors and other examination staff.

Under the new schedule, the daily remuneration of superintendents has been increased from Rs1,560 to Rs2,340.

The allowance for deputy superintendents has been raised from Rs1,260 to Rs1,800 per day.

The remuneration for invigilators has been increased from Rs1,000 to Rs1,500 per day.

Mobile inspectors will now receive Rs1,620 per day, up from Rs1,080, while distributor inspectors' remuneration has been increased from Rs1,200 to Rs1,800 per day.

The remuneration for practical examiners has also been enhanced from Rs1,540 to Rs2,310.

Controller of Examinations Tauseef-ur-Rehman said the increase was intended to acknowledge the hard work, honesty and vital role of teachers and examination staff in conducting board examinations.

He said the decision would serve as an important step toward promoting a transparent, standardised, and effective examination system.

Board officials said the revised remuneration would take effect for examination duties assigned under the Lahore Board and was expected to improve the efficiency and morale of teachers involved in the examination process.
