Maryam Nawaz launches CM Pink Salt Value Addition Financing Scheme

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the Chief Minister Pink Salt Value Addition Financing Scheme to promote industry, create jobs, and increase exports from province's pink salt reserves, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

At the launch ceremony in Lahore on Wednesday, CM Maryam Nawaz said Punjab's pink salt is recognised worldwide for its quality. She said the government is committed to protecting the country's natural resources and promoting "Made in Pakistan" products globally.

Maryam Nawaz also announced the establishment of a 110-acre Pink Salt Mineral Processing Zone near Quaidabad.

Under the scheme, investors can obtain interest-free loans ranging from five million to fifty million rupees for machinery, equipment, and modern technology used in salt processing, refining, cleaning, packaging and exports.
