Two Indian High Commission (IHC) officials were arrested by Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) police for over speeding and injuring a man in the morning, 24NewsHD TV Channel report quoting its sources Friday.

Indian High Commission (IHC) officials tried to flee after the accident but people gathered there captured them and handed them to police, the sources said.

The officials of the Indian High Commission (IHC) are identified as Salvadis Paul and Davamo Brahmo.

A BMW car hit a pedestrian who was walking on the embassy road at around 8am and attempted to flee. The pedestrian was critically injured and shifted to a hospital for treatment.

Eyewitnesses said the car was being driven irresponsibly and had gotten out of control due to overspeeding. The victim was walking on the footpath at the road when he was run over by the car.
