It seemed that former prime minister and PML-N senior leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has trashed the notice sent by the speaker of National Assembly asking him to explain his position for showing a behavior unbecoming of a member during proceedings of the lower house, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Sources said that almost one and a half months have gone that Mr Abbasi has not responded to Speaker Asad Qaiser’s show-cause notice. It seems that the former prime minister has chucked the speaker’s notice.

During the National Assembly’s proceedings of April 21, PML-N leader Abbasi threatened to hit the speaker with shoe. On this, Speaker Qaiser issued a show-cause notice to the PML-N leader asking him to explain his behavior not befitting of a member of the parliament.

Mr Abbasi was supposed to submit his reply within seven days. But he still didn’t submit his reply. Neither the assembly secretariat has taken any action against the PML-N leader, nor the speaker ordered any case against him.
