Two notorious dacoits were killed as Shikarpur police is conducting a search operation against dacoits in the Kachha area of Garhi Teghu in Khanpur and there was a heavy exchange of fire between the police and dacoits, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday. 

SSP Shikarpur Tanveer Tuniu and ASP city Syed Frazil Shah are leading the police operation and have also asked for reinforcement.

SSP Tanveer Tuniu said notorious dacoits Aarib alias Jharki Teghani and Jabbar Teghani have been killed while the exchange of fire continues between the police and dacoits.

He said one dacoit also got injured. He said he has summoned a heavy reinforcement of police including DSPs and SHOs of the area as the Shikarpur police continue to fight against the dacoits with modern arms.

He claimed that the Shikarpur police have encircled the dacoits and also have sealed all the entry and exit points of the area to stop dacoits from fleeing.

He said the operation would continue till the end of dacoits and criminal elements in the area and the recovery of all the abducted persons.
