ECP summons PTI’s Azam Swati over breach of elections’ code

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday summoned Federal Minister for Railways Azam Swati to appear before it tomorrow (Wednesday, March 16, 2022) over the violation of election’s code of conduct in the second of local bodies (LBs) polls in Mansehra, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The ECP also issued notices to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) MNA Saleh Muhammad Khan and Abdus Shakoor Laghmani, PTI candidate for the seat of chairman.
In its notice, the election commission said that all three of them by holding a public gathering in Mansehra breached the code of conduct, and announcing development schemes.
