No-confidence motion: Ruling coalition partners gear up consultation drive

The ruling coalition partners have geared up mutual contacts and consultation campaign in wake of no-confidence motion brought in by the joint opposition against Prime Minister Imran Khan, the 24 NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.

The leaders of BAP met the leadership of PML-Q at the residence of former premier Shujaat Hussain and deliberated upon the ongoing political situation.

The BAP-PML-Q moot followed a meeting between the leadership of BAP and MQM-P at the parliament lodges and took up the matter of no-confidence motion.

The PML-Q team is all set to meet GDA at the Parliament Lodges while the four allies of the ruling coalition partners are expected to have a joint meeting tomorrow.

The three government coalition partners have 17 representatives in the National Assembly and the PTI ruling alliance's strength is 179. To pass the no-trust motion, the Opposition needed the backing of 172 lawmakers.
