Mehwish Hayat to make her TV comeback after 5 years?

Lollywood diva Mehwish Hayat, who earned her reputation through TV and later became fans’ sweetheart on big screen with some blockbuster films, has been away from small screen for almost five years.
In an interview with Shoaib Akhtar, Mehwish Hayat was asked if she will appear on television again after doing an international series Ms Marvel.
In response to this question, she said, “I am actually reading scripts and I want to do a drama because I have been away from dramas for a long time since my last drama ‘Dil Lagi’ was aired five years ago. That was my last TV appearance. I am profoundly interested to cater my television audience. The have been after my life that when will you do a drama. Moreover, the beauty of our dramas is that everyone watches it, not just Pakistan but people from across the border as well. I am reading a couple of scripts and I hope by the end of this year I would do a drama.”

Pertinent to note that Mehwish was last seen in International project Ms. Marvel in which she played the role of Ayesha. Apart from that, she has worked in blockbuster movies, including London Nahi Jaongi, Punjab Nahi Jaongi and Chalawa.
