Sindh to include seven religions for minorities students in school curriculum

On the direction of the federal government, it has been decided to teach 7 religions in schools of Sindh and in this regard the education department has prepared a curriculum for minority students.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, there are 7 religions of Pakistani students belonging to minorities in the country including Baha'iism, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Kailash, Sikhism and Zoroastrianism.

The channel said books of Christianity and other religions will be taught to minority students in the schools of the province.

In this regard, books up to class 5 have been printed to provide education to minority students.

Chief Advisor Curriculum School Education Department Dr Fauzia says that we have more than sixty thousand students of other religions studying.

She said sections have been added to the existing curriculum for minorities and the subject of ethics has been upgraded to the name of religious studies, which includes the content of all religions.

Dr. Fawzia clarified that the process of recruiting teachers to teach the minority curriculum will also be done soon.
