Asia’s first female bomb disposal inspector’s advice to youth

First Asian female Inspector of Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) Rafia Qaseem Baig advised youth to work hard with devotion, sincerity if they wanted to success in their goal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Speaking in TV series “Har Fard Hai Millat Ke Muqaddar Ka Sitara”, Rafia said that joined KP police in 2009 and started her career as Lady Constable and later she passed her Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) examination in 2017 and appointed as commissioned officer in Narcotics Force Academy.

Rafiq Qaseem Baig said that she is serving as Instructor in Narcotics Force Academy. She said that it was her desire from her early childhood to wear a uniform.

Inspector Rafiq Qaseem said that from her childhood she wanted to highlight her parent’s name.

After graduation Rafiq Qseem received her MA IR, MSC Economics and LLB degrees.

Rafiq Qaseem said that she learned a lot while serving in Khyber Pakhtonkhwa police as she already taken part in various operations.

She also performed her duties during extreme heat and severe cold atmosphere.

Rafiq Qseem said that in 2016 she met with Tiger Brother who encouraged her a lot.

Inspector Rafiq said that she requested her commander that she wanted to join Bomb Disposal Unit he encouraged me.

After joining BDU I proof that women can serve in any department without any fear.

She revealed that after completing her police training she become first female SHO of police station.

She also performed her duties at Bacha Khan International Airport Peshwar as in-charge of Anti-Narcotics Force unit.

Rafiq Qaseem said that she laid foundation stone for women who wanted to serve the country.
