Mufti Munir Shakir martyred, three wounded in bomb blast outside Peshawar mosque

Renowned scholar Mufti Munir Shakir was martyred and three others were wounded in a bomb explosion near a mosque in Peshawar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to police, the explosion occurred in the limits of Armar Police Station in Peshawar. The injured were identified as Khushhal, Abid and Syed Nabi and were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital. 

Police say an improvised explosive device exploded outside a mosque in the area. Mufti Shakir was likely the target.

Police said more evidence was being collected. 

The incident occurred in the limits of the Armar police station, when an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated outside the mosque. According to local police, three other individuals were injured in the blast and were immediately transported to Lady Reading Hospital for medical treatment.
