Light to moderate rain turns weather pleasant in Punjab, KP cities
Different parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) received showers on Sunday, considerably bringing down temperatures at some places, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Different localities of Lahore received light to moderate rainfall on Sunday after Sehri, and later in the morning which turned the weather pleasant.
Rain was reported from Ferozepur Road, Samanabad, Gulshan-e-Ravi, Mozang, Sabza Zar, Awan Town, the areas around Karim Block, Nishtar Colony, Umar Town, Ghazi Road, Shanghai Road, Pak Arab Society, Kahna, Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Area, Township, Model Town, PECO Road, Maulana Shaukat Ali Road and other localities.
The Met Office said that the maximum temperature in the Punjab capital would rise to 25 degrees Celsius on Sunday afternoon, while it would remain 17 degrees Celsius on the minimum side.
Light breeze will blow in the city at the speed of five kilometers per hour, while the level of moisture in the air will be recorded at 52 per cent.
The Met Office predicted intermittent rainfall in the city during the next 24 hours.
Rain in Punjab cities
Showers were also reported from other Punjab cities as westerly winds entered the country.
Rain was reported from Faisalabad, Okara, Farooqabad, Sargodha, Bahawalnagar, Gujranwala, Kasur, Attock and other cities, turning the weather pleasant.
Rain, accompanied by hails and strong winds, lashed Okara, bringing smiles to people's faces as it came as a surprise for them.
It rained cats and dogs at Chunian and Farooqabad. Chunian also received hails.
In Nankana and its outskirts, rain was accompanied by hails, while it has been raining in Pattoki since last night.
Light rain was reported from Kharian and its suburbs, while light to moderate rainfall was reported from Manawala and its outskirts.
Rain, accompanied by cold winds, was also recorded in Narowal, Sarai Alamgir and adjoining areas.
Rain in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), rain was reported from Landi Kotal, Khyber and other areas.
In Landi Kotal, rain turned the weather chillier, while the Met Office predicted more rainfall.
Barra and Jamrud in Khyber district received light to moderate rainfall, which delayed the arrival of approaching summer season.

More rain forecast
The weather department predicted rainfall for Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) today.
The department said that the current spell of rains would continue till tomorrow.
