PAA cancels Notam, Islamabad airport to operate as usual tomorrow

Flight operations at Islamabad International Airport will remain temporarily suspended for two hours on March 17, according to a fresh Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by aviation authorities.

Under the latest update, flight operations at Islamabad airport will be halted from 8:30 am to 10:30 am on March 17.

Officials said the previously issued March 16 NOTAM of a similar nature has been cancelled, and a revised advisory has now been issued specifically for March 17.

In addition, authorities have stated that the flight route from Lahore to the Islamabad region will remain unavailable for two hours on the morning of March 17, which may affect scheduled arrivals, departures and rerouting of flights during the specified window.

The Notam had stated that arrival and departure operations at Islamabad International Airport would remain closed, and urged arriving aircraft to “bring sufficient holding fuel to cater for delay”.
