PCB chief honours Sarfraz Ahmed over retirement from international cricket

Former Pakistan cricket team captain Sarfraz Ahmed met Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday following his announcement regarding retirement from international cricket, 24NewsHD TV reported. 

The PCB chief paid rich tribute to the veteran wicket keeper-batter for his outstanding services to Pakistan cricket.

During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi lauded Sarfaraz Ahmed’s contributions to the national team and acknowledged his role in bringing successes to Pakistan cricket over the years.

In recognition of his distinguished international career, the PCB chairman presented Sarfaraz Ahmed with an honorary shield. 

Speaking on the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi praised Sarfaraz for serving Pakistan with dedication and distinction.

“You have fulfilled the responsibility of representing Pakistan in cricket with great honour,” Naqvi told the former skipper.

He added that Sarfaraz had played a major role in Pakistan’s achievements and had brought pride to the country through his performances and leadership.

“You have brought success and honour to Pakistan cricket,” the PCB chairman said.

Naqvi further remarked that Pakistan cricket would always remain indebted to Sarfaraz Ahmed for his services. 

The PCB chairman also expressed his best wishes for Sarfaraz Ahmed’s future, while making it clear that Pakistan cricket would continue to benefit from his experience.
