Police recover 10 kgs of crystal meth from a car in Khyber

Police in Ali Masjid area of Khyber district carried out a crackdown against drug smugglers and recovered 10 kilograms of crystal meth (ice) from a car, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

According to police, during a routine check on Alacha Road, a suspicious vehicle was signaled to stop at Jamrud Road. A man sitting in the front seat opened fire on the police and fled towards the mountainous area.

Police retaliated and took the vehicle into custody. During a search, 10 kilograms of ice were recovered from secret compartments in the car, while the driver Khanan, was arrested.

Police said a case has been registered and efforts are underway to arrest the escaped suspect, Abdul Malik.
