President meets Mohsin Naqvi, Khalid Maqbool to review internal security situation

President Asif Ali Zardari held an important meeting with Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and MQM-Pakistan Chairman Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Sunday, 24NewsHD TV reported. 

According to sources, the meeting focused on Pakistan’s prevailing internal security environment, with participants reviewing key challenges related to public safety, law enforcement, and the maintenance of peace across the country.

Sources said the leaders emphasized the importance of joint efforts to promote peace, stability, and the rule of law in the country, stressing that a coordinated national approach remains essential to address both internal and external challenges.

During the meeting, President Asif Ali Zardari underscored the need to further strengthen internal security and ensure the protection of citizens, calling for continued vigilance and effective institutional coordination.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of national unity, political harmony, and the continuity of the democratic process, with participants agreeing that internal stability and political consensus are critical for navigating the country through a sensitive regional environment.
