Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meeting called on Thursday to sight moon of Shawwal 

A meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has been called to sight the moon of the month of Shawwal in Islamabad on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday. 

The meeting will be chaired by the Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad. 

The meeting of the Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will be held in the Aiwan-e-Awqaf Lahore. 

Testimonies will be received from all over Punjab including Lahore in the meeting. 

Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad said the announcement of the sighting of the Shawwal moon will be made on the basis of testimonies. 

He said the help of the Meteorological Department and Suparco will also be sought for moon sighting.

The announcement of Eid-ul-Fitr will be made by the Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
