Bid to smuggle weapons into Islamabad Airport foiled

The Airport Security Force (ASF) has foiled an attempt to smuggle weapons into the precincts of Islamabad International Airport, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to sources, during a search operation, the ASF personnel had recovered a 30 bore pistol, magazine and bullets from the possession of a visitor at Islamabad Airport on Saturday.
The airport authority has arrested the visitor and started quizzing him.

The ASF searched the car of the visitor at airport’s Check Post No 13. During their search, they found a pistol and bullets in his car. They asked the visitor to provide licence for his weapon but he was failed to do so.
The ASF promptly alerted the control room and handed him over to the airport police, the sources said.
