Pakistan Crypto Council CEO Meets US Envoy to Boost Blockchain, AI Cooperation

Bilal bin Saqib, CEO of Pakistan’s Crypto Council (PCC), met with Acting US Ambassador Natalie Baker on Thursday to strengthen collaboration between Pakistan and the United States in blockchain technology and artificial intelligence (AI), the Ministry of Finance announced.

As global interest in blockchain grows, Pakistan has moved to formalize its crypto sector. With approximately 25 million active users and an estimated $300 billion in annual crypto transactions, the country ranks among the world’s fastest-growing crypto markets.

In a recent milestone, the PCC partnered with World Liberty Financial (WLF)—a decentralized finance platform backed by former US President Donald Trump—to drive blockchain innovation, stablecoin adoption, and DeFi integration across Pakistan.

According to the finance ministry, the meeting focused on connecting Pakistani entrepreneurs with US institutions to encourage innovation and joint initiatives in emerging technologies.

“Pakistan is home to one of the world’s youngest populations — eager, ambitious, and ready to lead the future of Web3 and AI,” Saqib said. “This is the time to invest in them, to connect them with global leaders, and to create real pipelines of opportunity between the US and Pakistan.”

Plans are underway to launch joint programs, talent exchanges, and strategic agreements between American tech firms and Pakistani startups, with the aim of building long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.

The PCC reiterated its commitment to using blockchain as a tool for diplomacy, education, and empowerment, positioning Pakistan’s youth at the forefront of the global digital economy.

With 64% of the population under 30, growing access to mobile broadband, a thriving freelance sector, and increasing government interest in Web3, Pakistan is quickly emerging as a regional hub for digital finance innovation.
