FIA arrests two illegal money exchangers in Rawalpindi

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Commercial Banking Circle Tuesday conducted a raid in Raja Bazaar of Rawalpindi and arrested two suspects involved in the illegal business of money exchange, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the FIA sources, Hamza Ghauri and Imad Mehmood had been involved in the business of money exchange without any license.
The FIA caught the suspects red-handed and also recovered Rs25 million worth of local and foreign currency from their possession.
The FIA recovered Rs13.1 million worth of Pakistani currency from the accused.
The agency also recovered 9,302 US dollars, 177,850 Turkish lira, 71,465 dirhams, 15,000 Qatari dinars, 2,585 British pounds, 2,490 Malaysian ringgit, 8,000 Chinese yuan, 450 euros, 160 Omani riyals, 20,000 Korean won and 5,751 Saudi riyals from the possession of the accused.
The agency also recovered the Swiss, Danish, Thai, Afghan, Australian and Canadian currencies from the accused held.
