A notorious drug-peddler, Pappu, was killed in an encounter with Karachi police, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The encounter took place in Sukhan Lat Basti, the police said.

The deceased was identified as Muhammad Bakhsh alias Pappu, they added.

The accused had shot at and injured two policemen in separate incidents, they stated.
