Pakistani rupee edges down against US dollar in interbank market

The Pakistani rupee edged down against the US dollar in the interbank market on Wednesday as the talks between the government the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Stand-By Agreement entered its final phase, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the local currency depreciated by 27 paisas against the greenback and ended the day at Rs288.14.

On Tuesday, the Pakistan rupee had depreciated by 0.11 percent to settle at Rs287.87 against the US dollar.
