Consumers to get major relief in power tariff, says minister
Says inquiry report on power breakdown will be submitted on Monday

Federal Minister for Energy Khurram Dastgir Khan on Saturday said people would get a major relief in their electricity bills, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference in Gujranwala, he said that presently there was an uninterrupted power supply to all parts of the country as the fault due to which there was a power breakdown in southern parts of the country a day before yesterday (Thursday, October 13, 2022) had been fixed.
The minister informed that on the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the supply of electricity had been restored in all flood-affected areas of the country.

Khurram Dastgir said power transmission in southern areas of the country has been completely restored. He said an inquiry report regarding power breakdown will be submitted on Monday.
Khurram Dastgir said the power supply has also been restored in flood-hit areas.
The minister said power generation from Thar coal power projects will reach 2640 megawatts in coming years.
He said Thar coal is ten times cheaper than imported coal.
