Court indicts Imran Khan’s sister Aleema in Nov 26 protest case

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on Wednesday indicted 10 people, including former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan, in the November 26, 2024 protest case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The court summoned five witnesses of the prosecution, namely Sub-Inspector Zaheer, Sub-Inspector Iqbal, ASI Kazim Raza, Tariq Mehmood and Constable Babar on the next hearing, scheduled to be held on October 17.

A case had been registered against Aleema at Sadiqabad police station of Rawalpindi.

An Anti-terrorism court (ATC) had on Tuesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Aleema Khan in the November 26 protest case.

ATC-I Judge Amjad Ali Shah issued the warrants after Aleema failed to appear in court following the rejection of her request seeking exemption from personal appearance.

The judge noted that repeated failure to appear despite summons constitutes obstruction of judicial proceedings.
