ECC okays release of funds for fencing Pak-Iran border

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on Wednesday approved the supply of wheat to Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit Baltistan, release of funds to the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) for making up for the losses suffered due to the coronavirus pandemic and release of special grant for building a fence on the Pak-Iran border, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The ECC, which met with Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin in the chair, also gave a green signal to the release of technical grants for defence, Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) and Civil Aviation.
For ERRA, a grant of Rs500 million was okayed.
Similarly, the committee also approved the release of grant for setting up a special security zone.
