Seven soldiers martyred in South Waziristan operation

Seven soldiers embraced martyrdom Wednesday in exchange of fire with terrorists during an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in the South Waziristan area, said a statement issued by Inter Services Public Relations.
According to the military’s media wing, the Security Forces conducted an IBO in Asman Manza, South Waziristan District on the reported presence of the terrorists.
Five terrorists were killed in the operation. During intense exchange of fire, seven soldiers embraced shahadat.
According to ISPR, the cordon & search operation is still in progress to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
On Tuesday, two suspected terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based operation conducted by the Pakistan Army in North Waziristan’s Datta Khel.
A raid was conducted after officials received news of a terrorist hideout in the area. Two suspects were killed in an exchange of fire.
The army’s media wing revealed that they have recovered a huge cache of weapons from the area and have cordoned it off.
Earlier this month, on September 11, a suspected terrorist was killed and five men were arrested in a similar operation in North Waziristan’s Sokhel area.
