Umer Sharif s son thanks Sindh govt for providing funds for treatment of his father

Jawad Umer, son of Umer Sharif has thanked the Sindh government for providing funds for treatment of his father abroad, reported 24News HD TV channel.
The Sindh government on Wednesday released Rs40 million for the treatment of legendry comedian Umer Sharif abroad.
Jawad Umer while addressing a press conference along with Sindh Culture Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab, and Arts Council President Ahmad Shah expressed gratitude to the Sindh government for announcing help for his treatment abroad. He also appealed not to post pictures of his ailing father online.
On this occasion, Murtaza Wahab called Omar Sharif a national asset. He told that as soon as the legendary actor’s illness was reported, the Sindh CM said, “How can we leave alone the person who made us laugh all our lives?"
Murad Ali Shah said that the Sindh government had always supported the artists. He said there was no like Umar Sharif.
President Arts Council Ahmad Shah said that he was grateful to the Sindh government for its cooperation in the treatment of Umer Sharif.
They also prayed for the early recovery of Umer Sharif.
Legendary comedian Omar Sharif is undergoing treatment at Aga Khan Hospital.
The Sindh government also arranged an air ambulance to shift Umer Sharif to the US for treatment. His family said that the visa documents had been submitted and as soon as the visa is issued, Umer Shaif would be shifted to the US.
