Motorway M5 closed near Jalalpur Pirwala
Motorway M5 is closed for all kinds of traffic near Jalalpur Pirwala due to heavy floods, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Syed Imran Ahmad, a spokesman for Motorway Police, said that after the closure of Motorway M5 a diversion plan was issued and the traffic was diverted on the alternative routes.
Northbound traffic is being diverted from Uch Sharif, Jahangra, and Jalalpur Interchange, and Southbound traffic is diverted from Shah Shams, Sher Shah, and Shujabad South.
Syed Imran Ahmad said that the Superintendent of Police (SP) Motorway, along with a police contingent, is available to guide the travelers.
