Bid evaluation for tenders under Punjab School Meal Programme completed

Bid evaluation has been completed for multi-billion rupees tenders under the Punjab School Meal Programme, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

According to documents, Fauji Foods was declared the only technically qualified company in all 13 lots of milk.

Fauji Foods submitted a bid of Rs70 per milk packet.

The total assessed bid for milk exceeded Rs5.44 billion.

Continental Biscuits submitted the lowest bids across all 13 biscuit lots. Continental Biscuits bid Rs37.25 per packet.

Total bid value for biscuits exceeded Rs965.6 million.

Combined value of the lowest evaluated bids for milk and biscuits stood at approximately Rs6.41 billion.

Fauji Foods and Continental Biscuits emerged as the successful companies in the bid evaluation report.

A budget of Rs6.78 billion has been approved for the Chief Minister's School Meal Programme.

One million schoolchildren will be provided with a packet of milk and biscuits on a daily basis.
