CDA plans expansion to cover rural Islamabad settlements

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has hired a consultant to evaluate whether Islamabad’s illegal and unplanned colonies should be regularised or demolished. 

According to 24NewsHD TV, the process of regularisation will begin with commercial properties in rural and older colonies.

The consultant is tasked with compiling comprehensive data on Islamabad’s rural areas, old settlements, and illegal colonies. 

Based on this information, recommendations will be presented to the CDA regarding the future of these colonies. 

In addition, the consultant will suggest measures to expand the CDA’s jurisdiction to cover rural Islamabad, aiming to improve planning and governance in these areas.
