PPP, JUI-F emerge victorious in by-elections

Pakistan People’s Party won two by-elections from Sindh while Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam managed to win Balochistan seat on Tuesday night.
PPP managed to win PS-43 (Sanghar) and PS-88 (Malir) with heavy margin. JUI-F won PB-20 by-election easily.
According to the unofficial results of 132 polling stations of PS-43, PPP candidate Jam Shabbir won the contest with 49,007 votes. PTI candidate Mushtaq Junejo only managed to get 7,200 votes.
In Pashin by-election, JUI-F candidate Aziz Ullah Agha won the election with 24,965 votes while Balochistan Awami Party candidate Asmat Tareen only got 7,123 votes so far.
According to the unofficial results of 108 polling stations of PS-88, PPP candidate Yousaf Murtaza Baloch won the poll with 24,251 votes. TLP candidate Kashif Shah remained second with 6,090 votes while PTI candidate Jan Sher obtained 4,870 votes.
In 2018 elections Ghulam Murtaza Baloch of PPP had emerged victorious from the constituency by bagging more than 22,000 votes against Muhammad Rizwan Khan of the PTI who got 16,386 votes.
The seat fell vacant after Murtaza Baloch, the minister for human settlement, died of Covid-19 on June 2, 2020.
