Mohammad Yousuf returns to grassroots cricket, joins summer camp as coach
Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Yousuf has become actively involved in grassroots cricket, joining the summer camp of Pak Lions International Cricket Academy as a coach to help nurture young talent, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday.
The summer camp, currently underway in DHA Phase I, is featuring players between the ages of eight and 18.
Participants have expressed excitement over receiving coaching and guidance from one of Pakistan’s most accomplished batters.
Yousuf has begun working with players from different age groups, sharing batting tips and focusing on improving their technical skills and overall development. He is conducting multiple coaching sessions tailored to the needs and abilities of young cricketers.
Speaking on the occasion, Yousuf said he enjoys working with children and believes grassroots coaching plays a crucial role in shaping future stars.
“I enjoy working with youngsters. I listen to them, and they listen to me,” he said, adding that the more time invested in young players, the better their chances of developing into successful cricketers.

The former batting great stressed the importance of building strong fundamentals at an early age, saying players with a solid foundation are more likely to succeed across all three formats of the game.
“If a player's basics are strong, they can excel in Tests, ODIs, and T20s. Most of today’s top batters who are successful in all formats have built their careers on strong fundamentals,” he remarked.
