Arshad Majeed Mohmand appointed Gilgit-Baltistan chief secretary
The federal government has appointed a new chief secretary for the government of Gilgit-Baltistan following an official notification issued by the Establishment Division Pakistan.
According to the notification, Arshad Majeed Mohmand, a Grade 21 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Gilgit-Baltistan. Prior to this appointment, he was serving as Special Secretary in the Power Division Pakistan.
As part of the administrative reshuffle, the Establishment Division has removed Abrar Ahmed Mirza, also a Grade 21 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, from the post of Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan and directed him to report to the Establishment Division.
Abrar Ahmed Mirza had assumed charge as Chief Secretary of Gilgit-Baltistan on October 24, 2023.
The Establishment Division confirmed that the appointment and transfer have been made through an official notification issued by the federal government.
