Information and Broadcasting Minister Senator Shibli Faraz said people of Gilgit-Baltistan made the election process a success with their full participation and rejected Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) narrative, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

He said: “People of Gilgit-Baltistan have also rejected Nawaz Sharif statements and defeated those elements that had already started a claim of rigging.”

“Gilgit-Baltistan 2020 General Elections were held in a transparent manner and surely be called free and fair elections,” he added.

Shibli Faraz said GB people have the democratic mindset and threw out the PDM narrative in a dust bin and voted for a bright future.”

He thanked the media for compressive coverage of GB Elections.

Shibli Faraz was addressing a press conference at the Press Information Department (PID) in Islamabad on Monday.

“PPP and PML-N were given opportunities to serve the people of Gilgit-Baltistan but they lost those opportunities,” he added.
