CTD arrests terrorist in raid on Kallar Syedan Road
Accused confesses to facilitating suicide attack on former home minister Col (retd) Shuja Khanzada

The Punjab Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Wednesday arrested from Kallar Syedan Road a terrorist who confessed to facilitating the suicide attack on former home minister Col (retd) Shuja Khanzada, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the CTD sources, the name of the accused was Abdullah Khan, and he was a resident of Mirpur district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). He was also the principle of Madrasa Ibrahimiya Siakh.
The CTD team also recovered a huge quantity of explosive material from the possession of the accused. He was carrying those explosives from Rawalpindi to Islamabad for sabotage.
The CTD also discovered that the accused belonged to banned organisations, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and he received training from a centre in Afghanistan.
The accused’s father-in-law, Masood-ul-Haq Siakhvi, and brother-in-law, Ibrahim Siakhvi, had been declared proclaimed offenders in the red book. They both reside in the United Kingdom (UK).
The CTD discovered that on the instructions of his father-in-law, the accused sheltered Hamza Shabbir alias Hafiz, the suicide bomber who killed Col (retd) Shuja Khanzada, and his companion Qari Sohail.
The accused had also sheltered the mastermind of the suicide attack, Qaiser Mustafa alias Captain Nauman.
In addition to this, the accused provided many facilities to many terrorists. His house and madrassa were used to facilitate terrorists, make suicide jackets and store explosive materials.
Further interrogation from the accused was underway.
